HARMONOGRAPH BUILD
The building of a two pendulum, and a three pendulum Harmonograph for AVA Exhibition ‘Seeing With Sound’. Over a three month period, young people who attend weekly woodwork & metalwork  sessions at The Old Printworks in Balsall Heath, worked as a team to recreate this Victorian scientific instrument. They were facilitated by sound artist Bobby Bird, and workshop provider Richard Newton. The project was inspired by reading  ‘Harmonograph – A Visual Guide to the Mathematics of Music‘ by Antony Ashton
