Combustion

‘Combustion’ by Bobby Bird‘ 2009, made from recording a household Jøtul woodburning stove.  If a domestic sized burner can sound like this, what might a 28ft long Cornish Boiler, used to heat up a Bolton & Watt beam engine sound like ?

This track was created as part of Birmingham Sound Matter  a project curated by Francisco Lopez and AVA/Modulate in 2009. Is is included on the Birmingham Sound Matter CD compilation released on Audiobulb: www.audiobulb.com/albums/AB023/AB023.htm.

A really magical lantern parade, after everyones hard work in creating the lanterns over the previous two weekends. A beautiful evening with the full moon out as we paraded around the lake. Special thanks to The Young Folksters, and  Spicy and the Spirit Drummers for providing the music.
